Claridge Products and Equipment, Inc., Harrison, Arkansas, has been certified as a business owned and controlled by a woman from the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC). NWBOC, a national 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, seeks to provide corporations with the opportunity to better their procurement practices and to women suppliers the opportunity to compete.

"Certification provides a marketing opportunity for us and other women business enterprises to participate in outreach programs," says Helen Clavey, Claridge's President and CEO. "In addition, this program enables us to develop relationships with larger companies and create opportunities for future partnerships with them and with public and private companies."

One goal for Claridge in seeking the certification is to increase their ability as a woman-owned business, to compete for contracts at a national level.
