Home: About Us The Beginning Since our beginning in 1947, Claridge Products and Equipment, Inc., Harrison, Arkansas, has grown to be the national leader of chalkboards, markerboards, tackboards and related products manufactured and sold in the United States. Specialized Services With our vast experience and the largest up-to-date manufacturing facilities, Claridge occupies the unique position of being able to provide services and meet special requirements not offered by others in the chalkboard industry. Modified sizes, custom match finishes, even special designs, are all available from Claridge. Moreover, Claridge is the only visual display board manufacturer who makes all types of chalkboards and markerboards and extrudes and finishes aluminum trim. At Claridge we do not depend on others for component parts; we control quality from start to finish - from specifications and drawings to the finished product. Wide Range of Products For over 50 years, Claridge has maintained high quality in our chalkboards and bulletin boards while adding innovative features, maintaining competitive pricing and expanding our lines to become the single source supplier we are today. In addition to chalkboards, markerboards and bulletin boards, Claridge manufactures display and trophy cases, directory boards, glass enclosed directory and bulletin board cabinets, easels, erasers, speakers' stands, wood lecture units with matching credenzas and many other items for home, school and office use. Innovative and Creative Claridge has led the industry with the development of many top quality products over the years, most significant of which was the introduction and production of our LCS Liquid Chalk System, what's become known and recognized in the industry as simply "markerboards". Claridge produced and introduced the first markerboards to the United States market at the AASA Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 1973. Renovating for the Future To meet the growing demand for porcelain markerboards, and to incorporate some new and exciting features into Claridge's LCS markerboards, a 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility has been constructed to house a new porcelain line. In addition to being able to meet a higher customer demand, we will also be able to offer the new porcelain with a surface even smoother than our original LCS and with a lower gloss.
